Discover the new map in e-Lips TMS

With the new integration of PTV Developer, e-Lips TMS introduces a powerful extension to the existing map functionality. Route calculations continue to work as you are used to, but the new integration makes it possible to extract much more data from routes.

Think of mileage charges, emission calculations, traffic information, and emission zones, all directly linked to planning and trip administration.

The integration is currently in the testing phase and is expected to be available at the end of March.

Kilometer charge in the Netherlands (from July 1, 2026)

From July 1, 2026, a truck toll will be introduced in the Netherlands. This kilometer-based toll will replace the Eurovignette. Trucks will then pay per kilometer driven on Dutch highways and a number of provincial and municipal roads.

With PTV Developer, e-Lips TMS can:

• Automatically calculate the kilometer charge per trip

• Calculate trips on a future date, for example after July 1, 2026

• Provide insight into expected toll costs in advance

This means that you can already calculate a trip today as if it were to be carried out on July 2, 2026, for example. The system will then immediately show the expected truck toll.

Automatic processing in contracts

The mileage charge can also be used within the contract module of e-Lips TMS. This allows:

• toll costs to be automatically included in the price calculation per trip

• rates to be automatically adjusted based on the calculated route

• invoicing to be fully automated

This makes it possible to incorporate the mileage charge directly into your transport rates.

New map and route calculations

The new integration introduces a new map environment within e-Lips TMS. Routes are calculated using PTV Developer technology. From this update onwards, various settings can be stored in vehicles, which are used by the map to calculate suitable routes, travel times, and emissions. This means that a separate profile can be set for each vehicle, in addition to the existing general profile. The type of fuel can also be recorded so that emission calculations, for example, can take this into account.

Among other things, the following are taken into account:

• vehicle profiles that can now be set for each vehicle

• Emission class

• vehicle type

• fuel type for emission calculations

• road restrictions

  
  

Insight into traffic information and traffic jams

The map also shows current traffic information. This means that route calculations take into account:

• traffic jams

• delays

• traffic situations

This helps planners make better choices when planning trips and ensures more realistic arrival times.

Emission zones visible on the map

More and more cities are introducing emission zones and zero-emission zones. With PTV Developer, these zones are visible on the map within e-Lips TMS.

This helps planners to:

• avoid routes that pass through emission zones

• take vehicle type into account

• prevent problems with access to cities

Emission calculations per trip

With the new integration, e-Lips TMS can also calculate CO₂ emissions per trip.

The calculation takes into account, among other things:

• vehicle profile

• vehicle weight

• type of drive, electric or fossil fuel

• route and distance

Emissions are automatically recorded at trip level.

These calculations are:

• compliant with the ISO14083 standard

• in line with international regulations

• accredited by Smart Freight Center

Prepared for CSRD reporting

The European CSRD directive requires more and more companies to report on their emissions. This applies not only to large companies, but also to transporters who drive for these companies.

With the emission calculations in e-Lips TMS, you can:

• Generate CO₂ reports

• Share emission data with clients

• Gain insight into the emissions of transport movements

This way, you are prepared for future sustainability reports.
